Fire Damages Four Units At Midtown Apartment Complex

February 24, 2008

Logo by ViCaRiOuS A fire in a Sacramento apartment complex has displaced seven residents and caused damage to four housing units. The first notice any resident had that there was a fire at 12:40 a.m. Thursday was a smoke detector being activated. Other residents were notified by a motorist who saw the fire at 1221 W St. and alerted occupants of the apartments. Sacramento Fire Capt. Jim Doucette said the fire is still under investigation but appeared to start in a wall heater.

“It does not appear to be an arson,” said Doucette.

No injuries were reported.
