Art students donate paitings in memory of fallen county firefighters

LOS ANGELES – November 25, 2009 – Art students from Sierra High School in the city of Azusa, were inspired by the courage of two Los Angeles County fallen firefighters killed during the Station Fire, and are donating two paintings in memory of their sacrifice. These original works of art will be donated to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, and formally accepted by the Air and Wildland Division on December 3, 2009, at fire station 32 on behalf of the Quinones and Hall families.

Fire Fighter Specialist Arnaldo “Arnie” Quinones and Fire Captain Tedmund D. “Ted” Hall were killed in the line of duty on Sunday, August 30, 2009, when their emergency response vehicle went over the side of the road and fell 800 feet into a steep canyon during fire suppression activities at Camp 16 near Mount Gleason.

WHAT: Donated painting will be formally accepted by the Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel on behalf of the Quinones and Hall families.
