SAN DIEGO ( CBS 8 ) — Some local firefighters are spreading holiday cheer to San Diego families in need.
Santa was on hand Saturday as firefighters distributed more than 100 turkeys and bags of potatoes in Linda Vista.
The food gives some local families the opportunities to have a holiday meal they might not be able to afford otherwise.
Another distribution took place Friday in Logan Heights.
All of the families that received food this year were registered through the Bayside Community Center.
