The Marina Professional Firefighter’s Association will be hosting a canned food drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 12-13, at Savemart, 270 Reservation Road.
All canned goods will be donated to the Monterey County Food Bank to help families in need this holiday season.
Food barrels have also been placed at the Marina Fire and Police station at 208 Palm Ave. and 211 Hillcrest Ave.
Barrels will be in place until December 21.
During the food drive children will be able to meet Marina firefighters and see one of Marina Fire Department’s fire engines.
