Sac Firefighters Battle 2-Alarm Blaze

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Fire officials said they were able to extinguish a two-alarm fire in South Sacramento.

The fire started Friday evening in the Triple M Food and Meat market on the 5800 block of Stockton Boulevard.

Capt. Jim Doucette, with Sac City Fire, said the flames were knocked out quickly.

“They got here in about four minutes time,” said Doucette. “It took [firefighters] a while to get to the seat of the fire.”

Doucette said no injuries were reported and he said there is no word on what caused the blaze.
