The Bullhead City Police Department advised dispatch and arriving firefighters the residence was vacant. Battalion Chief Evans directed crews to use defensive tactics as the fire was through the roof and not safe to fight from the interior.
Arriving firefighters in Ladder E-11 aggressively attacked the fire with hand-lines at the front of the home. Engine 21 arrived with additional firefighters and attacked the fire at the rear of the home. Neighboring homes were protected at all times.
There were no injuries to any fire service personel.
A vacant home with no utilities rarely has an accidental fire. Fire Investigator John Jones was called to the scene for investigation and to determine the exact cause of the fire.
