San Francisco firefighters knocked down a two-alarm fire at a home owned by Supervisor Sean Elsbernd’s parents.
The fire was at 31 Marietta Drive was reported at 8:50 a.m., said Lt. Ken Smith, a spokesman for the San Francisco Fire Department. The home is owned by Elsbernd’s parents, but was being rented out, the supervisor said. Elsbernd said he heard everyone made it out safely, but that a cat was missing.
Firefighters found thick black smoke coming from the two-story home and called a second alarm, Smith said. The blaze spread to a second building, at 27 Marietta Drive, he said.
