Slash and Debris Pile Burning Today near Angelus Oaks

Favorable weather conditions have provided firefighters from the San Bernardino National Forest an opportunity to burn slash and debris piles near Angelus Oaks on State Route 38 today.

Residents in the area as well as motorists traveling on State Route 38 as well as State Highway 18 in the Running Springs / Skyforest area will see smoke coming from the area just east of Angelus Oaks. Firefighters will be on hand during the burning operations. Operations will commence and cease as weather / conditions permit. Firefighters also will place signs along the roadways informing the public of the burning operations.

The work at this site is part of the ongoing fuels reduction and preventative community fire protection efforts by the US Forest Service on the San Bernardino National Forest.
