Structure fire in Bullhead City

September 1, 2010

At around 1215 this afternoon Bullhead City Fire Department units were dispatched to 1223 Silica road in Bullhead City for a report of a structure fire. Battalion Chief Greg Raymond was the first to arrive on scene and noticed light smoke and flames rolling out of an open window at the rear of the home.

Ladder 11 was the next unit to arrive and pull lines to the front door for initial attack. The fire was contained to the rear bedroom but there was extensive smoke damage to the entire house. The occupants of the home arrived
on the scene a short time later where they were reunited with their dog that had been trapped in the home.

Damage estimates are around $20,000. The local chapter of the Red Cross is assisting the residents.
