More than 130 firefighters along with five helicopters were fighting an 8-acre fire near the Getty Center on Saturday afternoon, according to Los Angeles Fire Department officials.
Though fire officials said no homes were immediately threatened, they had dispatched engines to some neighborhoods to protect them in case the fire grows.
The blaze was reported at 5:01 p.m., By 5:45 p.m., 22 fire companies, with three water-dropping helicopters and two reconnaissance helicopters, were battling it.
[Updated at 7:33 p.m.: Firefighters said the fire, which grew to 10 acres, was fully contained at 7:25 p.m. with no injuries and no structures burned.]
