The Turlock firefighters join other public safety organizations that support Caballero, including the Modesto City Firefighters, California Professional Firefighters and California Department of Forestry Firefighters.
Caballero’s involvement in public safety was prompted when she left her law practice to lead a community-based gang prevention program in Salinas, Partners for Peace.
Caballero has served as a Salinas city council member, mayor and member of the state Assembly, a position she has held since 2006.
She faces Republican Anthony Cannella, mayor of Ceres, in the Nov. 2 election.
