They we’re using it for training purposes. Monday kicked off the 16th annual Fall Training Symposium for firefighters. The city of Fresno is hosting the week long event. Monday firefighters were trained to use a thermal imaging camera. Fire training officials say it makes the job much safer.
“With this tool you’re able to see through the smoke where there’s heat signatures, so we can locate a victim quickly. And also firefighter safety, they can locate their exits and windows in case there’s an emergency.”
