Patterson firefighters confiscated fireworks worth an estimated $2,500 on July 4, more than 15 pounds of illegal amateur mortar shells, bottle rockets and Roman candles, according to Chief Steve Hall.
“We hit numerous areas in town, and we didn’t even make a dent,” said the fire department head.
