Firefighters battled several wildfires Monday burning across California, including an 800-acre blaze that prompted the evacuation of a campground in the Sierra Nevada.
About 260 firefighters fought to gain control of the Peak Fire that started Saturday near Lake Davis in Plumas National Forest.
