The Chips Fire burning in the Plumas and Lassen National Forests grew in multiple directions Sunday as a result of strong winds, high temperatures, and extremely dry fuels. As of Sunday night it had burned 10,387 acres and was 0% contained. The cost of fighting the fire is $4,100,000.
