Authorities believe a fire that injured four inmate firefighters Sunday and burned 250 acres of land in a rugged, remote area was started by the use of firearms, Cal Fire officials said.
It was not immediately clear if investigators believe illegal shooting led to the fire or if the shooters were in an approved recreational area.
