The roof of a strip mall collapsed prior to the containment of a four-alarm fire early this morning in Union City, according to an Alameda County fire official.
Firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire at Alvarado Place Shopping Center at 31875 Alvarado Blvd. at 1:05 a.m. Crews had the fire contained around 3:30 a.m., fire officials said.
