So there she was standing on the street corner. We were awakened at 5:30 am this morning from the firehouse to respond to a 911 call for a pregnant woman in labor. When we arrived, we found a teenaged girl standing on the corner with her pants around her ankles. She had a weird looking tail coming down from her crotch. Upon closer examination it became clear. This girl had a baby bunched into her pants. Her umbilical cord looked like a tail from a far. Sometimes I just don’t get the thinking of people nowadays. It was 45 degrees outside. The baby was soooooo cold! Welcome to the world little buddy.
We cut the cord, warmed up the baby and took em’ to the hospital.
