We had just finished up our training for the day when we received a tap for a structure fire on 48th street. Dispatch came over and told us they had multiple calls. I was on the Truck today. When we arrived on scene we saw that the fire was well involved and in multiple rooms. It was pretty obvious it was burning in the attic also. We were able to quickly get our truck ops under way. We had to cut a total of three vent holes to get the thing cleared out. The Engine crews did a great job of knocking this one down fast.  Another job well done by San Bernardino Firefighters.   Â
Here’s more from the official press release..     Â
San Bernardino City Fire Department received multiple calls for a house fire at 48th and F Street. The original call came in at 1430. First arriving units encountered heavy fire and smoke involvement to several rooms of an unoccupied vacant residence, which had also spread into the attic.
It took 21 firefighters 15 minutes to control the blaze. SBFD Arson Investigators, along with the Sheriff’s Bomb Unit, concluded that the fire was intentionally set.
