Rescue Crews Respond to Boiler Collapse – San Francisco

SanFran.Boiler Firefighters and EMS crews aided several people that were trapped. One worker is dead and another two people were seriously injured when a four-story PG&E structure collapsed in San Francisco on Monday.   Watch Video of rescue operation

A call at about noon reported a boiler accident that trapped several people, Talmadge said.One of the workers was extricated almost immediately after the accident and taken to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

KNTV’s Chopper11 showed firefighters and emergency personnel at the scene. Video also showed a large construction backhoe partially crushed by metal debris. Firefighters were also seen bringing in gurneys to help the injured.One person that appeared unconscious was taken away from the scene on a stretcher, KNTV reported.There are two four-story boilers that remained upright on the site.
