3-Alarm Fire Tears Through Pipe Company in Sacramento

A fire on Power Inn Road that was aided by Monday’s fast-moving winds destroyed a pipe-making facility that had been in Sacramento for 60 years, officials said.

The three-alarm fire started at about 5:30 p.m. at Pacific Corrugated Pipe Co., located on 5999 Power Inn Road, according to authorities.

A level two hazmat was issued beacuse of the intense heat and a nearby rail tanker car, officials said.
