Riverside County Breaking Ground on New Fire Station

The City of Indio and Riverside County Fire Department welcome you to join civic and community leaders, including Mayor Lupe Ramos Watson, the entire Indio City Council and Riverside County Fire Chief John R. Hawkins to the ground breaking of the new Terra Lago Fire Station. The groundbreaking ceremony will be held Wednesday May 14, 2008 at 9:00 am at Avenue 43 and Golf Center Parkway. “The station will be equipped with the latest safety features, including seismic warning systems as well as an exhaust removal system to better protect the visiting public and firefighters,” said Division Chief Ray Paiz. Construction of the 7,000 square foot Terra Lago Fire Station will begin immediately and, is expected to be completed by March 2009.

All members of the community and public are warmly welcomed to join us for this tradition-filled public event where refreshments will be served. The Terra Lago Fire Station will be a long-term asset for all members of the community, and will help these West Coast Firefighters more efficiently serve the increasingly busy neighborhood for decades to come.
