Pennsylvania Fire Chief Dies After Incident Response

Nature of Death: Cerebrovascular Accident

Incident Date: 05/19/2008

Chief Eusden was in the firehouse working on fire apparatus when he became ill, feeling pain and numbness in one of his arms. Eusden then communicated to another member in the station that he was having difficulty speaking, slurring his words. Chief Eusden was transported to the emergency room via station ALS Unit and was admitted to the hospital. On 05/20/2008 while in hospital Eusden went into cardiac arrest and was unable to be revived.
