Bullhead City Firefighters Battle Mobile Home Fire

On Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at 1923, four engine companies, one rescue ambulance, two Fire Investigators, one Light/Air trailer, and Public Information Officer, responded to a reported fully involved mobile home fire, under the command of Battalion Chief Craig Stephenson.

First arriving engine reported the residence was fully involved and defensive firefighting tactics would apply. The neighboring residence to the west was of great concern due to the winds. As crews attacked the fire, additional firefighters advanced a hose line to protect the neighboring residence. Slight fire damage was done to the neighbor’s awning.

The owner of residence was not there at the time of the fire. The neighboring residence is for rent. There were no injuries.

Early estimates on fire damage are $40,000 for the home and $20,000 for the contents.

Fire Marshal Jim Dykens and Fire Investigator John Jones were on scene investigating the cause of the fire
