Units from the San Bernardino City and San Manuel Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 1267 N. Sierra Way. First arriving units encountered a detached garage fully involved with fire. The flames had spread to the rear of the main house and it was heavily involved with fire as well. A second alarm was sounded to help protect the surrounding structures and to aid firefighters that were working in 100+ degree heat. Downed power lines that were “live” and arching hampered firefighters trying to extinguish the blaze. The fire was brought under control in 30 minutes

Units from the San Bernardino City Fire Department responded to a Brush fire on the North Bound I-215 just South of the fifth street off-ramp. First arriving units encountered several palm trees and oleander bushes on fire just east of the number three lanes. The flames had spread along the freeway north and in to a vacant lot off of H street. Due to the smoke production from the fire, visibility on the I-215 was limited. CHP was requested to assist in traffic control and firefighter safety as they worked along the shoulder of the I-215. There was no immediate threat to near by residents. Firefighters contained the fire to approximately two acres and had it under control with in 45 minutes. There were no injuries to firefighters or damage to any near by homes. Currently the fire is being investigated by city arson investigators.

Firefighters responded to the above address for a reported structure fire. The first unit on scene reported heavy fire showing from the front of a single-family dwelling. Firefighters controlled the blaze in approximately fifteen minutes. Although the fire caused heavy damage to the living room, the house was saved through the aggressive actions of firefighters on scene.
