20 units from the San Bernardino City Fire Department, San Bernardino County Fire, Calfire, US Forest Service, Colton, Rialto, Loma Linda and Redlands responded to a rapidly spreading brush fire that started behind a business along the east side of the 215 fwy at 13th and H Streets.
Due to high winds the fire spread from the east side of the freeway to the west side of the fwy in a matter of minutes. The 215 fwy was shutdown at 1027 in both directions as well as the BNSF railroad that runs along side of the fwy.
The fire was fully contained at approximately 1330 hours and only one business suffered about $200,000.00 in damage.
