Firefighters from the Moreno Valley Battalion responded to the report of a residential structure fire on La Costa Alta Drive in Moreno Valley.
First arriving units reported light smoke showing with fire visible from the two-story residence. When firefighters made access into the structure, heavy fire was reported on the second floor. Firefighters contained the fire to one bedroom with no extentions.
The American Red Cross assisted one adult female and two juvenile females who were displaced by fire and smoke damage. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was determined to be a space heater.
Damages are estimated at $150,000.
