California Highway Patrol officials are investigating a fire chief’s stolen truck after it was found ablaze near a levee in Colusa.
A camper at the Sacramento River Recreation Area alerted authorities to a fire shortly after Sacramento River Fire Chief Jeff Winters reported his 2004 Chevy Silverado missing.
Highway officials haven’t made an arrest but said they are following several leads.
