Bullhead City Firefighters handle Major Vehicle Crash on HWY 95

On Thursday, January 01, 2009 at 17:58, two engine companies of Bullhead City Firefighters, four rescue ambulances responded to a vehicle collision in the 600 block of Highway 95 under the command of Battalion Chief Greg Raymond.

The incident was a three vehicle collision with an over sized truck hitting the rear of a Chevy Cavalier Convertible. The Cavalier then struck the rear of a full size Sport Utility Vehicle. The occupants of the truck and the SUV were not injured. The four occupants of the Cavalier were in critical condition. The two adults and two children had to be extricated with hydraulic power tools. Safely removing the crushed vehicle from around the four patients.

The children were secured in Child Booster Seats. All four occupants were transported to the Western Arizona Regional Medical Center.

The exact cause of the collision is under investigation by the Bullhead City Police Department’s Traffic Bureau.
