In a previously posted story we read that “Friends don’t let other friends burn” – the boys from Las Vegas Fire Rescue responded to that one…. Here in LA….the opposite occurred:
Los Angeles – Police said a 30-year-old man has been arrested for investigation of murdering a homeless man who was doused with a flammable liquid and set ablaze on a Los Angeles street corner last year.
The 55-year-old victim was sitting at his usual spot at Third Street and Vermont Avenue on Oct. 9 when he was attacked. Witnesses told police they saw a man in his 20s chase McGraham, throw what was probably gasoline on him and flee. McGraham suffered burns over 90 percent of his body and died at a hospital.
Benjamin Mathew Martin was taken into custody in Rancho Mirage in connection with the death of John Robert McGraham.
