3-Alarm Fire Destroys South Pasadena Building

A three-alarm blaze has broken out at a commercial structure in South Pasadena, sending plumes of smoke across parts of the San Gabriel Valley.

A Verdugo Fire dispatcher says the fire at the South Pasadena City Yards maintenance facility started shortly before 8:45 p.m. Wednesday. TV images show firefighters were snuffing out the fire about an hour later.

No injuries are reported.
