CHULA VISTA – Fire investigators are looking into the cause of a two-alarm fire that destroyed a mansion under construction in Eastlake.
The 6500-square-foot residence was fully involved when firefighters arrived around 10:30 Saturday night at 2890 Gate 15 of Woods Drive.
Fire crews immediately called in help to protect surrounding structures because of the size and danger of the fire, according to Fire officials.
With the home under construction, the flames were able to move quickly through the exposed wood frame.
It took firefighters about 45 minutes to put out the flames.
No one was injured, damage estimates have not been released.
