Beaumont firefighter suffers minor injury fighting brush fire

BEAUMONT – A firefighter sustained a minor injury and was transported to a medical facility after helping to contain a 15 acre vegetation fire Friday, according to a fire department news release.

The fire was reported at 5:25 p.m. at Highland Springs Avenue and Breckinridge Avenue, according to a Riverside County Fire Department news release.

A total of 30 CAL FIRE and Riverside County Fire Department firefighters responded with two air tankers, one helicopter and one fire crew. The fire was expected to be controlled at 9 p.m.
