VICTORVILLE • Siblings were on their way home early Thursday morning when they discovered their house was on fire, San Bernardino County Fire Department officials said. The juveniles were staying at a neighbor’s house while their parents were attending to business down the hill, fire officials said. They were going home to get ready for school shortly before 6 a.m., when they noticed flames coming from their home near Tatum Court. The fire began in the garage and spread into the home’s attic. Firefighters were able to ventilate the roof and keep the fire from engulfing the entire structure, but the home did sustain major damage, officials said.
