Bullhead City Fire Department Engineer Erick Hurt sits inside the engine as Justin Simpson with Therno-Gel demonstrates how the gel will absorb the heat. Hurt had his had up against the window as direct flame was applied.
He stated afterwards that the window only got warm. Fire Dos from Dana Point, California was at the Bullhead City Fire Department to demonstrate their new product.
Firefighters Adam Spencer, Orlando Hartford and Mario Gutierrez look on as Simpson demonstrates how the Gel could save a vehicle and personnel if they were overcome by flames during a wildland fire. Wildland Crew Leader Chief Don Evans will be conducting additional testing and evaluate if the product could benefit the Bullhead City Fire Department.
