Two El Centro firefighters are expected to resume their duties after suffering minor injuries during an attic fire Wednesday night, a fire official said Thursday.
El Centro fire Capt. Chad Whitlock said the firefighters had pulled muscles during the blaze that was reported at 10:04 p.m.
It was not immediately known what started the fire at an abandoned house in the 600 block of Hamilton Avenue. The fire is under investigation, Whitlock said.
