Media Invitation – Keenwild Helibase Dedication

Come join Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack and the the US Forest Service for the dedication ceremony for the Keenwild HeliBase near Idyllwild on the San Bernardino National Forest on Saturday June 5th.

The Keenwild base has been in service since 1963. The site underwent a significant modernization project in the fall and winter of 2009. The base hosts a US Forest Service wildland firefighting helicopter during summer months and also supports the Riverside County Sheriff’s and Medivac Helicopters during search and rescue operations.

When: Saturday June 5, 2010 1:15pm to 1:45pm

Where: Keenwild Helibase State Highway 243, 1 mile north of the intersection of SR 243 and SR 74
