Firefighters Battle Multiple Fires in Alpine

Firefighters are mopping up hot spots from several vegetation fires that broke out along the I-8 freeway between Dunbar Lane and Alpine Blvd Tuesday afternoon. Four separate fires were reported just after 2:33 p.m., According to Roxanne Provaznik with CAL FIRE.

Sunday fire at duplex caused by landscaping bark, firefighters say

A fire that ravaged a duplex on LeBrun Lane in southeast Redding and displaced two families Sunday was caused by ignited landscaping bark, Redding firefighters said today. Jeff Granberry, spokesman for the Redding Fire Department, said the bark ignited a fence and eventually burned the duplex.

Firefighters responding to small vegetation fire in Paso Robles

CAL FIRE says firefighters are responding to a report of a vegetation fire in Paso Robles. It started just after 5:00p.m. in the 1000 block of Welsona Road near River Road. Approximately three acres have burned so far. One structure is threated. CAL FIRE says flames are spreading at a moderate rate. KSBY

Firefighters Gain Ground on 375 Acre Brush Fire

Lightning sparked a grass and brush fire in the barren northeastern corner of Los Angeles County but firefighters were able to gain ground on it by Sunday afternoon. Brush fire burns Greenspot area

A fire in the Greenspot area between Mentone and Highland burned 60 acres Sunday. The cause was under investigation by Cal Fire. It’s been dubbed the Florida Fire. Cal Fire is the responsible agency because the site is in the Highland, Redlands and state response areas.
