Valley firefighters found themselves fighting multiple fires late Wednesday afternoon – first at a house on Cavedale Road and then at Maxwell Farms Regional Park. At around 3:20 p.m., a fire was reported at a house on Cavedale Road just east of Highway 12.

Firefighters free one from wrecked car

A crash at Madison and Miles streets in Indio left at least one person trapped late Thursday. The crash was first reported about 7:50 p.m. Two dozen firefighters were sent to the scene and freed the person from the car.
