LINE2design Emergency Evacuation One Person Operation Stair can be operated by one person to evacuate an individual down stairs, if the individual weighs more than 175 pounds, two operators will be needed. The Emergency Evacuation Chair uses belts mounted on two tracks that allow the chair to balance and glide on the edge of the stairs while slowing momentum and relieving the operator from bearing the entire weight of the individual. The belts slide over at least two stairs at a time, providing a smooth descent. An extension handle allows the operator to control the chair from behind and above the individual. One safety belt tightens across the chest, and one padded safety belt tightens across the forehead. The chair has a maximum capacity of 350 lbs. Four wheels allow the operator to easily transport the individual on flat surfaces to safety.
The Emergency Evacuation Stair Chair is intended for use on straight stairs. The Emergency Evacuation Stair Chair is not recommended for home use due to variances in space and stair configurations.
